Illustration Friday Signs

At Last server is working and I can post this just in the nick of time! Signs could mean so many different things but I felt compelled to do this as a homage to a recent trip to London I made with my frend Esme. It felt such an adventure and quite daunting trying to find our way around as there were so many signs everywhere yet hardly a street name to be found. This was done with acrylic on bristol board and I'm not sure it has worked out as I wanted it, the paint isn't as fresh and painterly as I would like but the composition was so hard to balance that it couldn't help but become a bit laboured. I definately plan to try something with a looser style next.

WOW! That's a lot of signs. I like the fish-eye feeling of this. Great job.

I like the circular composition, nice work! Lots of detail can become tedious for sure, check out my posting and you'll know I can relate. I like your Citrus, the skewed framing of the Snow Queen and your train is great too!
